Hungry for More

2022.  Colored Pencil

I created this detailed colored pencil piece as a commentary on the overconsumption of goods in today's society. The magnets on the fridge ask "Hungry for More?" despite the overflowing amount of food already available inside. It calls on the viewer to appreciate what they already have instead of always pushing to consume more. I really enjoyed the process of adding details to this piece, and ended up loving how the colorful food contrasts with the plain white cabinets.
